AIDS Alabama invites its stakeholders to host their own events that benefit the agency and the local fight against HIV/AIDS.  Please let us know if you are interested in or planning to host an event to benefit AIDS Alabama.

Jingle Bingo - The Magic City Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence host fundraiser

The Magic City Sisters hosted Jingle Bingo on December 15th in partnership with The J. Clyde and Our Place to benefit AIDS Alabama's 2010 Holiday Wish program.  The toy drive and bingo fundraiser contributed to fulfilling the holiday sponsorship of 117 children affected by HIV/AIDS. 

 

World AIDS Day - Sojourns hosts shopping day to benefit AIDS Alabama


In honor and support of World AIDS Day 2010, the local fair trade retailer Sojourns, which features unique artisan products from around the world, hosted a shopping day on Wednesday, December 1st to benefit AIDS Alabama.  Owner Melissa Kendrick donated 10% of sales from this day to benefit AIDS Alabama programs and services.  Take some time to visit Melissa and admire the wonderful merchandise she has to offer!

 

Mystic Krewe of Caritas Bal Masque


On January 23, 2010, the Mystic Krewe of Caritas hosted their second annual Bal Masque to provide HIV/AIDS education to the community and financial support to AIDS Alabama. The event, themed "Garden of the Gods," was held at the Doubletree Hotel and served as a great kickoff to the Mardi Gras season.  AIDS Alabama would like to thank the Mystic Krewe of Caritas for all of their hard work and enduring support.


Alabama Army National Guard - Holiday Wish Program Toy Drive

In December of 2009 the Alabama Army National Guard held a toy drive for AIDS Alabama's Holiday Wish Program, which provides holiday gifts to needy children affected by HIV/AIDS.  Thanks to Sergeant Tim Atchenson and his wonderful unit of guardsmen, AIDS Alabama received hundreds of toys that the agency was able to provide as gifts to children participating in the Holiday Wish Program.  AIDS Alabama appreciates their support of this wonderful program.
